Books
I have written two books, contributed a chapter to an anthology, and written papers you might find useful on your journey. My second book is available for pre-order. Please read more about it below. There is a link to pre-order.
My first book shares a new approach to leadership that involves embodiment - bringing mind, body and spirit into all that you do.
The world is shifting from autocratic, top-down leadership to inclusive, connected, compassionate leadership. This book examines embodied leadership via interviews with 20 diverse women, covering 13 aspects: caring, creativity, centredness, courage, curiosity, clarity, knowledge, character, compassion, commitment, communication, connection and community. The interviewees are women I’ve known through work and leisure.
There are three parts: being, aligning, becoming. Being is being present and aware of your essence. Aligning brings our inner and outer selves into harmony, giving more energy, alertness, and clearer insight from body and intuition. Becoming is knowing and living your true self—a vital skill that lets you act without seeking permission.
Knowing yourself builds confidence, clarifies purpose, and increases your impact. Each chapter includes exercises for personal or team growth. This book reflects a shift: feminine leadership skills often go unrecognised. Through Movement Medicine, I learned the power of embodiment, which transformed my leadership into a mind‑body‑heart‑spirit practice. It asks you to become more fully yourself.
A powerful collection of women’s stories on awakening the divine feminine. Featuring Donna Bond, Stacie Cooper, Danielle Dawson, Carol DeFrancisco, Marion Gibbon, Anna Koskinaris, Judy McNutt, Natalie Murray, Micole Noble, Kayleigh O’Keefe, Joy Paddison, Robin Toft, Pamela Vatrano Kirastoulis, Meredith Wilkie, Sonja Wüthrich.
The outer illusion has fallen; the inner way guides us. These authors followed their inner whispers to reclaim sovereignty and take their place as queens of their lives. The Queen Bee gathers their journeys to spark your own divine awakening.
Why The Queen Bee? Each woman embodies the Honeybee archetype—creative, loyal, committed to collective prosperity, and honouring gifts in herself and others. Together they create a queendom of beauty, truth, love, and respect.
Use this book as meditation and a portal of possibility. Connect with these women and witness the global awakening. Are you ready to embody your truth and live fully expressed?
A beautiful, grounded guide to leadership. Gibbon and Kennedy brilliantly remind us that true influence doesn't come from a title; it grows from who we are."— Susie de Ville, bestselling author of Buoyant: The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Becoming Wildly Successful, Creative, and Free.
True leadership isn't a position of authority. It is a way of being. In a world obsessed with performance, speed, strategy, and bottom lines, we have forgotten the root of true influence. Real leadership isn't about managing others; it is about mastering yourself. In Leading from Being: The Seven Paths to Leadership, Dr Marion Gibbon and Margaret Kennedy invite you on a transformative journey to discover leadership as an embodied, authentic way of living. Drawing beautiful parallels from the wisdom of nature, this book uses the symbolism of trees to map out seven interconnected paths to profound personal and professional impact:
Everyday Leadership – Finding extraordinary influence in ordinary moments.
Creative Leadership – Unlocking innovation through curiosity and openness.
Servant Leadership – Leading with humility and a dedication to others.
Caring Leadership – Cultivating deep empathy and psychological safety.
Ethical Leadership – Standing firm in integrity and core values.
Transformative Leadership – Driving meaningful, lasting change.
Graceful Leadership – Leading with mindfulness, poise, and deep resilience.
Through inspiring, real-life stories of ordinary people making an extraordinary difference, you will see exactly how these paths come to life in families, workplaces, and communities. But this book doesn't just tell you why to change; it shows you how. Each chapter is packed with actionable tools designed to fit into your busy life, including: reflective Exercises to uncover your unique leadership style. Guided Meditations to cultivate gratitude, focus, and mindfulness. Practical Activities to build emotional resilience and deepen your connection with nature. Heal Your Environment. Inspire Your Team. Transform Your Life by looking closely at humanity’s relationship with trees, Leading from Being offers vital lessons in sustainability, interconnectedness, and environmental stewardship. It is a powerful reminder that like a tree, your growth starts from within, and the ripples of your actions can change the wider world.
